LibDems pull support from Digital Economy Bill

The Liberal Democrat Party chief whip, Paul Burstow,  has told the government that his party will not support the Digital Economy Bill as drafted, because there is not enough time for MPs to examine it.

No further information is currently available, but I think it is interesting that  Paul Burstow's  'followers' on Twitter are all the major news organisations, including the BBC and Guardian.  I wonder how many of them will report this - from what we have seen to date, few if any will.  Big media is making a point of ignoring this Bill.

The Digital Economy Bill is due to be put before the House of Commons next Tuesday.
